Slovenian Organic Products in Berlin
Mitja and Tatjana Butul at their stand in Markthalle 9 in Kreuzberg
In addition to uncommon varieties of cheese, visitors were able to sample excellent wines, bread, exotic jams and spreads, as well as pomegranate vinegar, bergamot oil and fig-leaf syrup. All products from the family’s organic farm, located in the village of Manžan near Koper in Slovenian Istria, are 100% organic and completely free from chemical additives.
Countless herbs also thrive in this Mediterranean climate, and exotic herb blends are an essential part of the many dishes the family prepares for holiday guests. Alongside their own organic products, the couple Tatjana and Mitja Butul and their adult son Domačija also offer accommodation for tourists. With its combination of organic gastronomy, tourism and farming, the family business is evidently right on trend, and interest in the Slovenian stand remained high throughout the entire afternoon.
The Slovenian Ambassador, H.E. Dr Ana Polak Petrič, visited the Butul family’s stand and was welcomed by Mitja Butul
