1993-1997 | deputed to the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu as Director from Maldives, primarily responsible for coordinating the work relating to cooperation in the social sectors

 

1997-2003 | Director-General of the Department of External Resources, MFA in-charge of bilateral and multi-lateral assistance and development projects. Was also the Alternate Governor to the Islamic Development Bank during the period

 

2003-2004 | Director-General (Foreign Relations), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, head of the bilateral department

 

2004-2007 | Posted as Deputy Ambassador of Maldives in India to also set up the new Embassy in New Delhi

 

2007-2012 | Posted in China as the first Ambassador from Maldives to China and also to set up the Embassy. China became the top tourist market for Maldives during this period

 

2012-2018 | Elected to the Executive Board of the Maldives Olympic Committee
