H.E. Dr. Alexander Marschik, Ambassador of Austria, welcomes the guests

On the occasion of the National Day on October 27^th, the Ambassador of Austria, H.E. Dr. Alexander Marschik, hosted an invitation to the Austrian Embassy.

Following the welcome address, the Minister of State for Culture and the Media, Dr. Wolfram Weimer, delivered greetings to the guests. The subsequent national anthems of Austria, Germany, and the EU were performed by mezzo-soprano Neelam Brader and Kornelia Lienhart on the piano. Both speakers emphasised the long-standing, deeply rooted relationship between the two countries and its significance within the EU. The diverse ties extend across all political, social, and cultural areas, but are particularly strengthened by personal relationships that have grown increasingly over the years. In time-honoured tradition, Austrian wine was served, and the buffet was piled high with local specialties.
